1. Verify your website information with ICANN lookup - Before you request or apply for the SSL certificate, you have to ensure that your ICANN lookup record is updated and matches your submitted documentation to the authority. Now you can access your ICANN lookup tool and have a cross-check of your registration information.

2. Generate the certificate signing request - Before you have the certificate authority, you need to generate a certificate signing request. So you can run directly through your server, your c panel, or an online CSR generator.

3. After that, you must submit your CSR to your certificate authority as soon as you complete your signup process to validate your domain.

4. The last and final process is installing the certificate on your website. You can easily do it with the cpanel. Under “Security,” click SSL/TLS certificate, then click manage SSL sites, then upload a new certificate to your new domain.

Hope this point is valuable to you!!!!

To get an SSL certificate, you will need to follow these steps:
  1. Choose an SSL certificate provider: There are many companies that offer SSL certificates, such as Comodo, Symantec, and GoDaddy. Research different providers and compare their prices and features to find the one that best meets your needs.
  2. Purchase an SSL certificate: Once you have chosen a provider, you will need to purchase an SSL certificate from them. The cost of an SSL certificate will depend on the type of certificate you choose and the provider you go with.
  3. Generate a Certificate Signing Request (CSR): A CSR is a block of encrypted text that is generated on the server where the SSL certificate will be installed. It contains information about your organization and domain name, as well as the public key that will be included in the SSL certificate.
  4. Verify your domain ownership: Before an SSL certificate can be issued, the certificate authority (CA) will need to verify that you own the domain for which you are requesting the certificate. This process typically involves the CA sending an email to an address associated with the domain (e.g., administrator@example.com) or requiring you to upload a file to your website to prove ownership.
  5. Install the SSL certificate: Once the SSL certificate has been issued, you will need to install it on your web server. The process for installing an SSL certificate will depend on the type of server you are using and the SSL provider you have chosen. Some providers offer tools to help you install the certificate, or you may need to consult your hosting provider for assistance.
  6. Configure your website to use HTTPS: After the SSL certificate has been installed, you will need to configure your website to use HTTPS instead of HTTP. This typically involves updating your website's URLs and links to use HTTPS and redirecting traffic from HTTP to HTTPS.
By following these steps, you can successfully get an SSL certificate and secure your website with HTTPS.

To get an SSL certificate for your website, you will need to follow these steps:

  1. Choose a certificate authority (CA) to issue your SSL certificate. There are many CAs to choose from, and some popular ones include DigiCert, GlobalSign, and Comodo.
  2. Purchase an SSL certificate from the CA. Most CAs offer various types of SSL certificates, such as single-domain, multi-domain, and wildcard certificates. Choose the one that best meets your needs.
  3. Generate a certificate signing request (CSR). A CSR is a file that contains your website's domain name, company name, location, and other information. You will need to generate a CSR and provide it to the CA when you purchase your SSL certificate.
  4. Install the SSL certificate on your web server. Once you have purchased your SSL certificate, the CA will provide you with a certificate file and a private key file. You will need to install these on your web server so that your website can use the SSL certificate.
  5. Configure your website to use HTTPS. Once the SSL certificate is installed on your web server, you will need to configure your website to use HTTPS. This may involve modifying your website's configuration files or changing your server's settings.
  6. Test your SSL certificate to make sure it is working properly. You can use tools like the SSL Server Test from Qualys SSL Labs to verify that your SSL certificate is properly installed and configured.
I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any other questions.

1. Request the SSL

Specify your domain name and the type of web server that’s hosting your site.

2. Verify your SSL

Then verify that you control the domain — verification depends on the type of certificate and web server.

3. Download your SSL

Download your primary and intermediate certificates from the SSL dashboard.

4. Redirect HTTP

Once installed, redirect your visitors to the secured (HTTPS) version of your site. Address which of these pertain to you.

5. Check Installation

Enter your URL into a browser. Look for the padlock icon before your URL, if it’s there, you’ve completed installation and your site is SSL secure.
